-Draw exactly what you see.
•if you are drawing an eye. Don’t draw it how you think an eye looks, draw what you see.
-Imperfections make it look more real.
•If you are drawing a shirt, don’t draw it with no wrinkles or shadows. The more detailed you get with the wrinkes or tears, the more realistic it’ll look.
-Draw upside down.
•when drawing from another picture/still life, turn it upside down.
It’ll force you to draw it exactly how it is, instead of how you know it as.

This piece is entitled Kesin (Incarnate in Japanese). It is one of a series called ‘Chou Chou’ and was inspired by an old Japanese proverb, whereby a butterfly becomes a metaphor for the soul and leaves the sleeping body nightly, embarking upon a transcendental flight. In this Image
